Serif and Sans-Serif Glyph Compositions

This project was about turning simple glyphs into an intentional work of art. I really wanted to showcase the personality of both typefaces used and show their unique characteristics. Stempel Garamond Roman was a very unique font to work with. It's serifs and various stem widths created a unique challenge of putting the letters together. I am pleased with how the finished composition looks. Neue Haas Grotesque Bold brought much different challenges with its bold, thick letters and unforgiving straight lines. It was much harder to layer the glyphs and "hide" the letters with the bold serif font. I feel that each composition was a success and was able to illustrate the personality of the typeface represented.
